Consultant Spotlight on Dan HallyDan Hally, Captain, Asotin County Sheriff's Office, specializes in investigating Internet crimes against children, interviewing victims of violent crimes, and improving law enforcement officers' understanding of the trauma that victims experience. He has experience in law enforcement and victim assistance in Native American communities. He is also a forensic artist.
Disabilities Curriculum Available in English & SpanishCrime victims with disabilities may face challenges other victims don't, such as the ability to access services or communicate with advocates. Supporting Crime Victims With Disabilities focuses on recognizing and addressing these challenges so that all victims with disabilities receive the necessary support and assistance. This new OVC instructor-led training is available in English and Spanish.
VictimLaw: A Comprehensive Resource on Victims' RightsVictimLaw, a popular online legal resource on crime victims' rights, is now centrally located on the OVC TTAC Web site. VictimLaw is a comprehensive, user-friendly, database of victims' rights statutes, tribal laws, constitutional amendments, court rules, administrative code provisions, and case summaries of related court decisions.

The replication guides in this set discuss how adult protective services, human services agencies, law enforcement, disability and Deaf advocates, self-advocates, and others can work together to ensure equal and effective access to the criminal justice system for persons with disabilities. |
