NLM Ceasing Production of UMLS DVD
October 5, 2012
Beginning with the 2013AA Release in May 2013, NLM will stop production of the UMLS DVD. Licensees must then download the UMLS files from the UMLS Terminology Services (UTS) system. -

The updated US Extension to SNOMED CT is available for download. The download now includes files in both SNOMED CT Release Format 1 (RF1) and Release Format 2 (RF2) versions. -
IHTSDO Affiliate Forum Invites Nominations for Standing Committees Due September 1, 2012

Call for Nominations: The IHTSDO Affiliate Forum (AF) is soliciting nominations for an AF representative on each of the four IHTSDO Standing Committees – Content, Quality Assurance, Implementation & Innovation, and Technical. Nominees must be either Affiliate Licensees or a recognized representative of an Affiliate Licensee organization, and must also register as members of the Affiliate Forum. Nominees will serve a two-year period beginning on January 1, 2013. To nominate a person, download the appropriate nomination form and send the completed form to info@ihtsdo.org. Nominations are due to the IHTSDO by September 1, 2012. -
SNOMED CT® to ICD-10 Cross Maps – Technology Preview Release

The IHTSDO released the Technology Preview of SNOMED CT to ICD-10 cross maps. The cross maps support epidemiological, statistical, and administrative reporting and are available for download on the UMLS Web site. The contents map July 2010 SNOMED CT to ICD-10 second edition (2008). For more information about the cross maps, see the IHTSDO press release.
