The FDIC Advisory Committee on Banking Policy was established by former Chairman Donald E. Powell pursuant to the Federal Advisory Committee Act. The Committee was chartered in February 2002; the charter expired in February 2006. The Committee provided advice and recommendations on a broad range of issues relating to the FDIC’s mission and activities. Additional information regarding this Committee is set forth below:
