Russ Steward PhotoThank you for your interest in TVA’s Supply Chain and for visiting our Supplier Connections Portal. The role of Supply Chain is a critical component in accomplishing TVA’s overall goals of lowering costs and improving operational efficiency. Our core functions are contract management, which includes all activities of the contracting process to provide materials and services at the lowest total cost of ownership (TCO), and materials management, which effectively manages TVA’s warehousing, investment recovery and logistics operations in order to optimize inventory and conserve working capital. A little more about TVA's Supply Chain:

Our Mission Statement:

To deliver a substantial, sustainable, competitive advantage to TVA, by developing and effectively executing sourcing, materials management, and support services strategies that satisfy TVA’s business needs and support corporate citizenship.

Our Goals

To provide our customers the right service, at the right time, at the TCO. By focusing on these goals in concert with our internal customers and external suppliers, we will achieve a world class supply chain.

Supplier Diversity

TVA is committed to maintaining and growing a diverse supplier base. We are interested in doing business with and providing direct and subcontract opportunities to diverse suppliers capable of providing products and services that satisfy TVA’s requirements at the TCO and best value.

Sustainable Acquisition (Green Procurement)

TVA is also committed to sustainable acquisition or buying "green." We are committed to buying products that have recycled or bio-based content, have a Water Sense, Energy Star, Federal Management Program (FEMP) or Low Standby Power rating, or are Environmentally Preferred, whenever they are available, meet TVA specifications and/or life cycle cost effective. In addition to buying "green," TVA wants to do business with suppliers that are environmentally responsible in their own day-to-day operations.

Click here for a listing of green products, resources, tools, definitions approved by TVA and/or other US government agencies.

How Green are your policies, practices, performance and products?

TVA has prepared specific environmental and sustainability questions that should be included as a part of a company's response to a request for proposal (RFP) and/or request for information (RFI).

Click here for a listing of the questions to provide TVA information about your company's environmental impact and sustainability. Note: Please submit your responses directly to the requesting TVA contract manager.

Existing Suppliers

Our suppliers must accommodate TVA's diverse business needs to support our generation, delivery, and business services organizations while fulfilling TVA's mission. Companies with active contracts can conduct business by logging into or registering to access the Supplier Connections Portal and using the EAM/Maximo system. These suppliers are also able to update their purchase order delivery dates, contract line updates and contract pricing, contract downloads, respond to RFQs & eRFQs, perform company maintenance, update company information, and report subcontracting achievements against contract goals.

Potential Suppliers

We always look for opportunities to build partnerships with new suppliers with demonstrated experience, qualifications, and products or services that meet TVA’s unique requirements. Click here if you are a new supplier seeking to do business with TVA.

As you navigate through this site, you will learn more about our organization as well as about doing business with TVA including our supplier diversity commitment.

Again, thank you for visiting us online. We recognize our Suppliers as partners in working to make TVA better and we value your input. We are continually updating our site, so I encourage you to visit often.

Sincerely,

Russ Steward
