Clinical Trials

NHLBI is well positioned to both conduct and participate in clinical trials. Many of the physicians here are recognized experts and have conducted trials both nationally and internationally. Our Scientists have extensive experience in developing, conducting and monitoring clinical trials. The NHLBI Office of Technology Transfer and Development (OTTAD) also serves as a Technology Transfer Service Center for the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS), the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB), the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD), the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), and the National Institute of Nursing Research (NINR) and can facilitate collaborative Clinical Trials at these institutes.
