Technology Licensing Opportunities

The inventions made in NHLBI, NIAMS, NIBIB, NIDCD, NIEHS, and NINR laboratories can be transferred to the private sector for further research and development, and eventual commercialization through licenses. If a company would like to acquire either an unpatented material, or a patented or patent-pending material for commercial purposes, either a Commercial Evaluation License, a Biological Materials License, or an Exclusive/Nonexclusive License is required. The licensing process at NIH is managed by the NIH Office of Technology Transfer.
