30th Anniversary Gala & Game Night Fundraiser

We’re excited to bring a new feature to our annual gala! This year, we will feature a “Game Night Fundraiser” where guests can enjoy playing games like poker, blackjack, roulette, craps and spin-the-wheel – all while benefiting our Chicago Chinatown Chamber of Commerce. 

Our Gala this year will be hosted on Monday, October 29th at the Sheraton Hotel located at 301 E. North Water Street, Chicago IL. Please download our contribution form today to reserve your tables, buy raffles tickets and to sponsor us! You can also register online here.

We’re also looking for volunteers! Email us if you want to help out at our registration desk, help sell raffle tickets, set-up or become a volunteer dealer.

DHOOM 3 Movie Filming at Ping Tom Park

Dhoom 3 will be filming in Chicago Chinatown’s Ping Tom Park and Chicago River! Please see the details below for road closures and helicopter and noise usage.

DATE:                           Monday, September 17, 2012

LOCATION:                Chicago River between 18th Street & Cermak

CLOSURES:               Full Closure of 18th Street between Canal and Wentworth (6:00am – 8:00pm)

HELICOPTER:           Helicopters will be flying periodically at low altitude in this vicinity (10:00am – 3:00pm)

NOTES:                       Simulated gunfire will occur periodically throughout the day (8:00am – 8:00pm)

 

All activities will be performed under the supervision on Chicago Police and Fire personnel on site. US Coast Guard has issued a vessel traffic restriction for the Chicago River (Cermak-18th St.).

2012 Double Ten Parade [CANCELLED]

The Double Ten parade, hosted by the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association of Chicago,  has always been another fun family event in Chicago’s Chinatown. Sadly, the event has been cancelled this year. Enjoy the video from last year’s parade!
