At Home

The smallest moments can have the biggest impact on a child’s life. Spending time together at home just playing and hanging out can have big benefits down the road. This section has some suggestions on books to read, websites to visits, and games to play.

Remember to take into consideration you child's age, strengths, and interests as you spend time together. Learn about what interests them. Make sure that the games and books are appropriate for their age - not to mature for young children, or too juvenile for older children. Don't forget that being involved is something you can do on an ongoing basis. Reading one book or visiting one website will make an impact with your child, but when you're able to make your involvement a habit the benefits can be great!
