Nicotine Inhaler Fact Sheet

Description of Product:	A nicotine inhaler is a cartridge attached to a mouthpiece. Inhaling through the mouthpiece delivers a set amount of nicotine to the user.

Dosing:	Each cartridge delivers 4 mg of nicotine over 80 inhalations. Recommended dosage is 6 to 16 cartridges daily. Recommended duration of therapy is up to 6 months (decrease dosage during last 3 months of treatment).

Side Effects:	Side effects may include: Throat irritation Mouth irritation Stuffy nose Coughing

Breathing conditions: Smokers with lung problems, such as asthma, should use the nicotine inhaler with caution. Heart conditions: Smokers who have serious heart conditions should consult their doctor before using the nicotine inhaler.
