Henrietta Terry, M.S.

Public Health Advisor

Henrietta (Retta) Terry is a public health advisor in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Office on Women's Health (OWH). In that capacity, she assists in the development, design, implementation, promotion and management of women's programs and health initiatives in such areas as diabetes, arthritis, and lupus.

Ms. Terry also provides technical assistance and advice to the deputy director of women's health in seeking liaisons, partnerships and collaborations through competitive and professional services contracts with national and community based organizations.

Retta provided assistance and expertise in the development and implementation of the OWH/OMH Joint Partnership Summit, the Lupus National Town Hall Meeting, and the Diabetes National Town Hall Meeting.

She provided OWH representation in the development and implementation of CDC's National Public Health Initiative on Diabetes and Women's Health and serves as the OWH representative to the Chronic Disease Directors Women's Health Council, and is the Chair of the OWH Lupus Education Awareness Program Workgroup.

Retta holds an associate's degree in paralegal studies and a master's degree in behavioral and social science.
