Summary

A Multimedia Program for Physically Injured Crime Victims offers victims an educational DVD, brochure, and bulletin for use during their hospitalization for crime-related injuries. This multimedia program provides information about typical crime-related emotional responses to a serious victimization and the possible elements of medical followup, physical rehabilitation processes, and information about the criminal justice system. These materials were developed and produced by the National Crime Victims Research and Treatment Center at the Medical University of South Carolina, with funding from the Office for Victims of Crime, a component of the Office of Justice Programs, U.S. Department of Justice.
