Regional Activities: NLM near You

  • Professional Meeting Exhibit Schedule

NLM participates in many professional meetings. Whether you're a nurse, doctor, librarian, scientist or first responder, look for us at your next annual meeting.

  • Traveling Exhibitions

Learn more about the history of medicine by visiting a local exhibit created by NLM historians and curators. Exhibits are typically hosted by libraries and universities. Some exhibits still have availability in their schedules, so if you would like to host an NLM Exhibition, contact us with your request.

  • Training Classes in NLM Products

NLM supports a variety of training opportunities. We sponsor classroom sessions across the country each year as well as Web-based training on NLM products. The classroom training is aimed at librarians and health professionals but people with an interest in learning how to use NLM products to find biomedical information are welcome as well. Classes are free; participants are awarded MLA continuing education credits.

  • NCBI Discovery Workshops

NCBI offers a series of two-day training courses called Discovery Workshops. Each year it will hold three Discovery Workshops on the NIH campus and four additional Workshops at universities, colleges or government research centers located in four of the eight regions of the National Network of Libraries of Medicine (NNLM).
