The PPI for finished goods rises 1.1%; finished core unchanged

The Producer Price Index for finished goods rose 1.1 percent in September. Prices for finished goods advanced 1.7 percent in August and moved up 0.3 percent in July. The index for finished goods less foods and energy was unchanged in September.

US import prices up 1.1% in September, while US export prices rise 0.8%

U.S. import prices advanced 1.1 percent for the second consecutive month in September. Both increases were led by rising fuel prices. The price index for U.S. exports rose 0.8 percent in September following a 1.0 percent advance in August.
