CCR Small Business Page
Are you a small business? Thinking about starting your own company? Well, you've come to the right place. The Small Business Administration provides financial, technical and management assistance to help Americans start, run, and grow their businesses.
As of December 2002, the CCR system has eliminated the requirement to register separately within the Small Business Administration's PRO-Net database. A vendor only needs to input business information in one database (CCR), which will then automatically populate the SBA database. Please note that if you are interested in receiving Small Disadvantaged Business, HUBZone, or 8(a) certifications, you will need to refer separately to SBA to complete that process.

CCR Criteria for Small Business Page
A small business is one that:
- is organized for profit;
- has a place of business in the United States;
- makes a significant contribution to the U.S. economy by paying taxes or using American products, materials or labor; and,
- does not exceed the numerical size standard for its industry.
The business may be a sole proprietorship, partnership, corporation, or any other legal form.
Don't know the NAICS code? SBA's Size Standards web page contains a key word search routine to assist you, or you may search for NAICS industries on the U.S. Bureau of the Census' website at http://www.census.gov/naics.
For Federal contracting, a small business must meet the size standard stated in the solicitation. The contracting officer designates the size standard of the procurement by selecting the size standard established for the NAICS industry that best describes the principle purpose of the procurement.
Need more information on size standards? Please read the Small Business Size Regulations (13 CFR Part 121), or ther Guide to SBA's Size Standards. These are available at www.sba.gov/size. Or you can contact the Office of Size Standards at (202) 205-6618 or at sizestandard@sba.gov.
