Jill Wasserman, M.P.H.

Health Education Specialist

Jill Wasserman, M.P.H., is a health education specialist in the Division of Outreach and Collaboration within the Office on Women's Health (OWH) at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). In this position, she is responsible for leading and collaborating on OWH initiatives, such as National Women's Health Week, and disseminating and promoting information on women's and girl's health.

Before coming to OWH, Ms. Wasserman worked at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta, Georgia for seven years. She worked in the Office of Policy, Planning, and External Relations in CDC's Division of STD Prevention (DSTDP), National Center for HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepatitis, STD, and TB Prevention (NCHHSTP). Her responsibilities focused on programs and activities that contribute to the prevention of STDs and their complications. In this role, she managed media requests, raised awareness of STD-related policy issues, and facilitated partnerships with a broad range of organizations. Jill also worked as a behavioral scientist in CDC's Division of HIV/AIDS Prevention, NCHHSTP. She has co-authored articles in several public health journals and has an avid interest in sexual heath, adolescent health, and child and maternal health.

Ms. Wasserman received her master's degree in public health with a focus on behavioral sciences and health education from the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of Rochester.
