The Thrift Savings Plan
We continue to improve the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) to increase participation and provide participants with information, new benefits and features to help them plan for the future and meet their retirement goals.
Survey Overview
In October 2011, we conducted a survey of TSP participants to gauge satisfaction with TSP features, services, and communications. The survey also evaluated retirement preparedness and identified additional services that would make the TSP a more valuable tool for participants in planning and preparing for retirement.
Survey respondents were selected at random, and all individual responses were kept confidential. More than 8,200 civilian and uniformed services participants completed the survey – a 14.3% response rate, similar to the response rate from the last TSP survey conducted in 2008.
