TSP Account Distribution
If the participant had a valid Designation of Beneficiary form on file with the TSP on the date of death, the TSP account will be distributed according to that designation.
If there is no Designation of Beneficiary on file, the entire TSP account will be distributed according to the statutory order of precedence.
TSP Annuity Distribution
Varying rules apply if the participant died after requesting — but before receiving — a TSP annuity.
