New Personalization Features

MyNRD Account

After logging into your account, you will be able to access your MyNRD page. Having an account allows you to:

Rate a Resource

Rate any resource on the NRD by clicking on the Yes or No link located under each resource description, next to the sentence: Was this information helpful? You can rate as many resources as you like, but you can only rate each resource one time. NRD.gov will record the total number of Yes and No ratings each resource receives. You can view this number to the right of the Yes and No links.

Save Searches

Save previously used keywords by creating a saved search. The next time you login to your MyNRD account, simply run the saved search to view the relevant search results.

From your MyNRD page, click on the My Saved Searches link located inside the Searches box. Next, click on the New Search button. (This button will be located on the left-hand side, below any searches you have previously saved.)

On the Create a Saved Search page, type a name for your new search in the Name box (i.e. Housing Resources) and any search terms you would like to use in the Keyword box (i.e. temporary housing). You must enter a keyword in order to complete and save a search. Otherwise, your search will not function properly.

Each time you create a new saved search from your MyNRD page, it will automatically save as your default search, unless you uncheck the Set this search to be my default saved search box, located at the bottom of the Create a Saved Search page. Once you are finished making your selections, click the Save button, located on the bottom, left-hand side of the page.  You will automatically be redirected to the My Saved Searches page.

On your My Saved Searches page, you can also RunEditDelete or Subscribe to Search by clicking on one of the links, located on the right-hand side of the search name.

  • Run – this function will run the search and return a list of resources that match your saved keywords or phrases.
  • Edit – this function enables you to make changes to your saved search.
  • Delete – this function will remove the saved search from your list.
  • Subscribe to Search – this function allows you to subscribe to a Really Simple Syndication (RSS) feed of your search results.

Track History

My History lists the last 10 actions you made on the site, including resources you rated and resources viewed.

This feature displays a list of recommended resources based on past resources you have viewed.
