Stage 2 and Quality Measure Updates

Meaningful Use Resources: USHIK’s Meaningful Use portal acts as a consolidated resource for retrieving data on Clinical Quality Measures (CQM’s) and Value Sets as well as information on the Meaningful Use Core and Menu Objectives. For Stage 2, export capabilities, Value Set retrieval, and CQM comparison tools have been enhanced to make the data more accessible and flexible to work with.

The United States Health Information Knowledgebase (USHIK) and the All Payers Claims Database (APCD) Counsel are proud to announce continued State Data harmonization efforts as the Accredited Standards Committee (ASC-X12) and the National Council for Prescription Drug Programs (NCPDP) collectively work together to provide up to date health care files and claims data.

United States Health Information Knowledgebase

The United States Health Information Knowledgebase (USHIK) is an on-line, publicly accessible registry and repository of healthcare-related data, metadata and standards. USHIK is funded and directed by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) External Link [www.ahrq.gov] with management support in partnership with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) External Link [www.cms.gov].

USHIK is populated with information from Standards Development Organizations (SDOs) , CMS, All-Payer Claims Database (APCD), Patient Safety Common Formats and other healthcare organizations and contains Meaningful Use measures and value sets, Patient Safety forms and various healthcare standards. USHIK provides the functionality to interactively view, compare and download data in various formats. This functionality can be used for analyzing and harmonizing standards, measures and other healthcare data and supports healthcare providers, standards developers, federal and state entities, researchers and EHR system developers in achieving their goals.
