Authorizing Legislation
The total budget authority for the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) including Special Statutory Funding for Type 1 Diabetes Research is authorized under Sections 301 and 402(a) of the Public Health Service Act and 42'241 and 42’281 of the U.S. Code. The FY 2009 enacted amount is $1,911,338,000 and the FY 2010 budget estimate is $1,931,494,000.
