- Qisheng Li, MD, PhD, Research Fellow, liqisheng@niddk.nih.gov.
Dr. Qisheng Li was a Physician Hepatologist in Shanghai China and received basic science training in molecular virology in Singapore and clinical research training in hepatitis C in Seattle. He joined Dr. Liang's laboratory in 2007 studying hepatitis C virology and host dependencies through functional genomics approaches, and exploring novel antiviral strategies.

Zongyi Hu received his doctor's degree from Tongji Medical University, China. He joined the LDB, NIDDK in 1996 and is currently studying the mechanisms of HCV entry and novel HCV inhibitors.
- Arnaud Carpentier, PhD, Postdoctoral Fellow, arnaud.carpentier@nih.gov.
Arnaud Carpentier received his PhD from the Pierre and Marie Curie University, Paris France, working on a new model to study HCV infection of primary human hepatocytes. After joining the LDB, NIDDK in 2010, he is now working on using stem cells-derived hepatocytes for studying HCV infection.

Véronique Pène received her PhD from Pierre et Marie Curie University investigating the morphogenesis of hepatitis C virus at Cochin Institute, Paris, France. She joined LDB, NIDDK in 2010 and is currently studying the relationship between the hepatitis C virus and the lipid metabolism of the infected cells.

Emmanuel Thomas received his MD and PhD from the University of Miami School of Medicine focusing on intrinsic innate immune responses to RNA viruses. After completing a Doris Duke Clinical Research Fellowship at UNC-Chapel Hill with Dr. Michael Fried. He came to the NIDDK to Study the mechanisms of HCV antiviral therapy focusing on interferon and ribavirin.
- Zhensheng Zhang, MD, Biologist, zz14h@nih.gov.
Zhensheng Zhang graduated from Fudan University and Henan Medical School in China and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at MGH & Harvard Medical School. He joined the LDB, NIDDK in 1996 and is currently studying the molecular biology of hepatitis B and C viruses.
- Veronica Gonzalez Munoz, PhD, Visiting Fellow, veronica.gonzalez-munoz@nih.gov.
Veronica Gonzalez Munoz received her PhD from Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm Sweden where she studied innate and adaptive immunity in HIV-1/HCV co-infection. Since joining the LDB, NIDDK in 2010, her research has been focused on understanding the relevance of type III interferon’s in hepatitis C virus infection.
