The center will provide assistance to triage, troubleshoot, resolve & provide guidance related to the hardware, specifically the VI hardware, Archive Appliance & HP workstations. (877) 896- 2158 M-F 9:00am - 6:00pm EST The VistA Imaging System (VI) is an extension to the RPMS hospital information system. The RPMS HIS and RIS (Radiology Information System) provide extensive support for imaging and contain a full image management infrastructure. VistA Imaging is an FDA Approved Medical Device and cannot be modified. VI incorporates image acquisition, exportation, display, networking, and long term archiving. It captures clinical images both DICOM and non-DICOM, gray scale and color images, scanned documents, and other non-textual data files and makes them part of the patient's electronic medical record. VistA Imaging provides clinicians with access to all images and text data in an integrated manner that facilitates the clinician's task of correlating the data and making patient care decisions in a timely and accurate way.
