Terry Pratt is Director of the Business Operations Staff in the Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services within the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Terry began her federal career with the Social Security Administration in 1978, and since that time has been devoted to working primarily with programs that serve our nation’s most vulnerable populations. She started working at CMS, formerly the Health Care Financing Administration, in 1989 and has extensive experience with long term policy and program areas such as hospice, home and community based care, managed care, mental health, 1115 demonstrations, the Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), self direction, integrated care initiatives, and Medicaid State plan Amendments. She has over 15 years of first and middle line Federal management experience within both the Social Security Administration and CMS. As the Director of the Business Operations Staff she has been instrumental in the design and development of “corporate hub” for our organization.  

Terry has been recognized by both the National PACE Association and Children’s Hospice International for her leadership in advancing health care programs for special needs populations. She has also been the recipient of multiple Honor and leadership awards within CMS.
