What's New

Dr. Jamesetta Newland wrote a great tribute to our profession in a recent editorial in Nurse Practitioner, “Celebrating Medical Librarians."

MLA wants you to tell us about deserving health information professionals to honor at MLA ’13 in Boston.  The deadline for 2013 awards and honors nominations is November 1, 2012.

MLA is currently accepting applications from the best and brightest students and practicing health sciences information professionals for 2013 grants and scholarships. The application deadline is December 1, 2012

Join the dance by applying for an MLA committee. See the online application form for a list of the committees and juries (sign in to the members-only area and click on “Apply for an MLA Committee”). The application deadline is October 31.

MLA '12 meeting content, including plenaries, posters, and more, is now available for all MLA '12 registrants. If you didn't attend MLA '12, you can still purchase e-conference registration.

Continuing Education

MLA is now accepting ideas for thought-provoking and innovative courses and symposia to offer at MLA '14 in Chicago, IL—tell the Continuing Education Committee what courses you'd like to take or teach.

MLA's "Leveraging Mobile Technologies for Health Sciences Libraries" webcast was a great success.  If you missed it, purchase a DVD of the program through the MLANET Online Store.
