FEMA developed the following inventory, prioritization and schedule for posting website content as required by the E-Government Act of 2002. This inventory is intended to be an overview and to represent website content from all agencies and staff offices of FEMA.

Categories of Information Disseminated by FEMA Via Website:

Column 1 lists the categories of information FEMA disseminates via website.
Column 2 indicates the priority FEMA assigns to Web publication of each category.

  • Priority 1: Legally Required
  • Priority 2: Mission Critical information.
  • Priority 3: Frequently asked by web audiences.
  • Priority 4: Other information.

Column 3 indicates the publication schedule for the category.

Education and Training programs, courses, and materials to support emergency preparedness and response for emergency personnel as well as the general public. 3 As available, unless otherwise required by law
Regional sections provide state specific information for the ten regional offices, and two area offices. Each office helps to plan for disasters, develop mitigation programs, and meet needs when major disasters occur. 2 As available, unless otherwise required by law

Preparedness programs and initiatives for emergency management and first responders designed to help the nation be ready to respond to disasters and incidents of all kinds. 2 As available, unless otherwise required by law
FEMA For Kids teaches kids how to be prepared for disasters, prevent disaster damage, learn what causes disasters, play games, read stories and join a disaster information and activities group. It also provides teachers with curriculum and safety information for use in the classroom. 3 As available, unless otherwise required by law
Recovery shows victims how to apply for assistance, how to locate disaster recovery center locations, provides, frequently asked questions and steps to take after a disaster. 2 As available, unless otherwise required by law
