Conference An Unqualified Success!  St. Louis, Missouri Next Stop in 2013!

Held over the course of four event-packed days at the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill, this year’s National Alopecia Areata Foundation Conference attracted over 850 registered attendees from 42 states and six foreign nations.  Befitting the setting, the Conference centerpiece was Advocacy Day on Capitol Hil. Quality of Life Study Needs You!

The Quality of Life Study still needs Your Input. With the results of The Alopecia Areata Symptom Impact Scale – Quality of Life questionnaire, investigators will develop a National Alopecia Areata Registry Symptom Scale (NAARSS),This important study is a priority for NAAF and you can participate here.

This year's Alopecia Areata Awareness Month during September 2012 was filled with a huge variety of events around the nation, thanks to many friends and families AND to our partners in the Major League Baseball League. Treatment Development Program - New Clinical Trial

Intralesional steroids are the most commonly used treatment for alopecia areata, yet much remains unknown about the risks and benefits of different doses of intralesional steroids.  The goal of this study is to answer some of those questions.  To learn more about this study, please visit our Treatment Development Program Clinical Trials Page.
