If you're reading this, you probably need information about premature ovarian failure for yourself or a loved one. You may be worried about what POF means to your future. Thinking about POF can be scary, but we believe that receiving support and information is comforting and empowering.
First things first: take a deep breath and try to relax. As you navigate this site take time to digest the information and determine what it means for you. This website contains a wealth of information and support designed to help you learn about POF, stay up to date with the latest research, meet other women with POF, take control of your health care, and guide you through the various aspects of living with POF.
There is a good chance that you can find others in your situation within our community. Join our bulletin boards or listserv to meet others. If there is a particular topic that you wish to discuss, you can post your own message. If you are looking for a face-to-face support group check our local meetings list to see if there is a group established in your area, or to contact others who might be interested in starting one. You will meet some incredibly knowledgeable and supportive women along your journey.
Living with POF can be a complex and confusing journey. Everyone's path is slightly different but we are here to help you navigate these uncharted waters by equipping you with resources, information, and support.

(IPOFA) is a nonprofit, 501(c)3, international organization whose mission is to provide community, support and information to women with Premature Ovarian Failure (POF) and their loved ones; to increase public awareness and understanding of POF; and to work with health care professionals to better understand this condition.
