The NEA provides leadership to develop and sustain an agenda for arts education, make the arts a core part of K-12 education, and increase arts education opportunities outside of school settings.

In partnership with the 56 state and jurisdictional arts agencies and six regional arts organizations, the National Endowment for the Arts provides federal support for projects that benefit local communities.
