Each 2012 Kennedy Half-Dollar Two-Roll Set is comprised of 40 coins, one roll of 20 coins with the United States Mint at Philadelphia mint mark and one roll of 20 coins with the United States Mint at Denver mint mark. Each coin roll is packaged in a distinctive United States Mint paper coin wrap, which displays a “P” or “D” representing the roll’s mint of origin and its face value of $10.00. These rolls feature circulating quality Kennedy half-dollars minted on our main production floors at the United States Mint facilities at Philadelphia and Denver.

The obverse design of the half-dollar features a 1963 portrait of President John F. Kennedy by United States Mint Sculptor-Engraver Gilroy Roberts. The reverse design, by United States Mint Sculptor-Engraver Frank Gasparro, depicts a heraldic eagle with shield, reminiscent of the presidential seal.
