Fort Worth, Texas (July 19, 2012) - Under Secretary of Defense Frank Kendall delivers remarks at a ceremony celebrating the delivery of the first F-35 Lightning II aircraft to the United Kingdom. The U.K. was the first partner nation to join the F-35 program, and has been involved in the design, development and testing of the aircraft for more than a decade.

Attended by senior representatives of the U.K. Ministry of Defence, the U.S. Department of Defense, and industry, The Right Honourable Philip Hammond, U.K. Secretary of State for Defence, and Mr. Frank Kendall, U.S. Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics, represented their respective government agencies.
