Interviewing and Interrogation Workshop
Up one levelThe objective of this three-day seminar is to provide the fundamentals necessary to conduct a proper interview and interrogation; to provide a structured frame of reference for those interviewers who have some experience, but who may not have had any formal training in the area; and to improve the efficiency of all participants in obtaining the truth from suspects, witnesses and victims in a legally acceptable manner.

Who Should Attend
Applicants must be federal, state, local, campus or tribal criminal justice professionals, law enforcement personnel, or domestic violence advocates from rural jurisdictions.
Eligibility
Preference for admission into this program is given to non-federal law enforcement officers or other emergency responders working in rural areas. “Rural” is defined as any area outside of a metropolitan statistical area (MSA), as defined by the Office of Management and Budget; or any jurisdiction inside of a MSA located in a county, borough, parish, or land under the jurisdiction of an Indian Tribe with a population of no more than 50,000. Non-rural applicants will be admitted on a space-available basis beginning approximately 35 days prior to the program’s start date.
