Chairman Rocco Landesman Releases the Schedule for His Visit to New York State July 15-18, 2011

Chairman joins Congresswoman Louise Slaughter to tour Rochester and Buffalo arts organizations on July 16

Washington, DC - NEA Chairman Rocco Landesman will visit New York State July 15-18, 2011 for a series of events and site visits. At the invitation of Congresswoman Louise Slaughter (NY-28), co-chair of the Congressional Arts Caucus, Chairman Landesman will tour arts organizations in Rochester and Buffalo, on July 16, 2011. Chairman Landesman will also deliver the keynote address at the League of Historic American Theatres National Conference on July 15 at the invitation of U.S. Senators Kirsten Gillibrand and Charles E. Schumer. Lastly, Chairman Landesman will deliver a lecture on July 18 at the Chautauqua Institution as part of their "A Case for the Arts" series.

Keynote Address: League of Historic American Theatres National Conference. Reception to follow at Wright Family Atrium.

Chairman Landesman will speak about the role of theater and the arts in shaping communities and contributing to quality of life.
