Briefly:
Fred Kuchler is an economist in the Diet, Safety, and Health Economics Branch at the Economic Research Service. His current work is in the economics of information, including food labeling and traceability, and in health economics, including obesity and valuing reductions in foodborne illness. Previous work has focused on dietary exposure to agricultural pesticides, agricultural asset values, impacts of biotechnology, and productivity effects of pesticide regulation.

Education:
Ph.D. in economics from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
