Work/Life and Wellness

Sets policy, provides program guidance and leadership, and fosters innovation for implementing flexible and supportive workplace initiatives that support employees and enhance the overall quality of life and wellness of the USDA workforce. Ensures that wellness and work/life programs align with recruitment, diversity and retention initiatives set by the Department. Provides liaison with OPM, and fosters collaboration, networking and a community of practice for sharing initiatives among Work/Life and Wellness Coordinators at the Agency, Staff Office and Mission Area levels. Reports participation rates to OPM, OMB and the Department regarding telework/telecommuting programs, wellness programs and Employee Assistance Programs.
