Deputy Secretary Tony Miller plays a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the development of policies, recommendations and initiatives that help define a broad, coherent vision for achieving the President's education priorities.

Implementation and Support Unit (ISU)

• Supports comprehensive reforms implementation at the state level.
• Pilots new approaches to strengthen and support state reforms.
• Acts as a single point of contact for four programs: Education Jobs Fund, Race to the Top, Race to the Top Assessment, and State Fiscal Stabilization Fund.
