International flagsAs the U.S. central authority for international child support, OCSE provides assistance to families, states, and countries seeking support when family members live in different countries.   The central authority provides the following services:

  • Assistance and support to countries and Canadian provinces which have been declared foreign reciprocating countries (FRCs) by the U.S. government for child support purposes
  • Negotiation and implementation of the new international Hague treaty for child support
  • Contact information, policy, training, and operational support for child support caseworkers
  • Customer service to assist caseworkers and families in the child support process
