WASHINGTON, April 12, 2012 - The U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Food Safety and Inspection Service is sponsoring a public meeting to provide information and receive public comments on agenda items, and draft U.S. positions to be discussed at the 40th Session of the Codex Committee on Food Labeling (CCFL), which will be held in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada from May 15-18, 2012.

The public meeting will be held on April 18, 2012, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Jamie L. Whitten Building, USDA, 1400 Independence Avenue SW, Room 107-A, Washington, D.C. 20250. Documents and agenda items related to the 40th Session of the CCFL will be accessible at the Codex website at www.codexalimentarius.org.
