Criminal Street Gangs Workshop

This training program examines every facet of the street gang subculture and provides valuable insight into why individuals become involved in gang behavior, how gang behavior is manifested and what law enforcement agencies, individuals, schools and communities can do to impact the problem.

  • The impact of gang activity on families, schools, communities and individuals
  • National major gang trends and the “hybrid gang” connection
  • Strategies for effectively addressing gang activity through suppression, intervention and prevention
  • Gang identification and recognition

Who Should Attend

Qualified applicants must be full-time, sworn law enforcement peace officers.

Eligibility

This training is open to full time, sworn law enforcement officers (especially first line officers and supervisors including patrol officers, detectives, and narcotics officers and their supervisors). State, local, campus and tribal law enforcement personnel are encouraged to attend.

Cost

TUITION-FREE

Attendees are responsible for all travel, lodging and meal expenses.
