Arranged chronologically, these drawings of extraordinary quality include Italian, French, English, German, and Netherlandish works by such masters of the medium as Gian Lorenzo Bernini, François Boucher, Agnolo Bronzino, Correggio, Edgar Degas, Eugène Delacroix, Jean-Honoré Fragonard, Caspar David Friedrich, Thomas Gainsborough, Jean-Baptiste Greuze, Guercino, Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres, Jacob Jordaens, and Käthe Kollwitz.
