The World Health Organization (WHO) Mediacentre  - provides organization's latest news, press releases, fact sheets, and multimedia content with Realvideo and audio downloads.

John E. Fogarty International Center - serves as the organizational locus for NIH international activities. The Center fosters research partnerships between American scientists and foreign counterparts and explores the ethical issues of international clinical trails through its International Research Bioethics Initiatives.

International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Associations (IFPMA) - represents the worldwide research-based pharmaceutical industry and manufacturers of prescription medicines generally. The Federation has a central role in the exchange of information within the international industry, and in the development of position statements on matters of policy. 

CIOMS - (Council for International Organizations of Medical Sciences) - web page provides general information on its activities.

UNAIDS - Joint United Nations Program on HIV/AIDS - the global source of HIV/AIDS information

Ethics- UNESCO - website of the Social and Human Sciences Division of the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization.

The Human Genome Organisation (HUGO) - is the international organisation of scientists involved in the Human Genome Project (HGP), the global initiative to map and sequence the human genome. HUGO was established in 1989 by a group of the world's leading genome scientists to promote international collaboration within the project.

European Network for Biomedical Ethics - facilitates a discussion among European scientists on issues in bioethics, primarily involving in vitro fertilization. Site includes conference information, newsletter, and contacts.

Bioethics Division of the Council of Europe - aims to protect the individual's dignity and fundamental rights with regard to the application of ordinary medicine and new medical techniques (genetics, medically assisted procreation, etc.).

The Pan American Health Organization's (PAHO) Bioethics and Health -- site announcement, technical documents and other resources.

Nuffield Council on Bioethics - established by the Trustees of the Nuffield Foundation in 1991 to identify, examine and report on the ethical questions raised by recent advances in biological and medical research. The Council produces many reports and discussion papers.

The Wellcome Trust Biomedical Ethics Programme - lists funding and research activities of the organization, a calendar of events and other resources related to biomedical ethics.

Australaisan Bioethics Information - a clearinghouse for information about bioethical issues in Australia, New Zealand and around the world.

International Association of Bioethics -- an organization linking all those working in bioethics and related fields, facilitating mutual contact and encouraging the discussion of cross-cultural aspects of bioethics.
