MEMORANDUM FOR CHIEF HUMAN CAPITAL OFFICERS
From:

John Berry
Director

Subject:
2nd Annual CHCO Council Fall Innovation Forum

The Chief Human Capital Officers Council will host its 2nd Annual CHCO Council Fall Innovation Forum September 29 - October 1, 2010, at the Harbourtowne Golf Resort and Conference Center in St. Michaels, Maryland. This retreat will focus on leadership and diversity training, and will serve as the Council's strategic planning session for 2011. We would like to extend an invitation to each Chief Human Capital Officer and Deputy Chief Human Capital Officer of the CHCO Council to join us for the Forum.

The Council will sponsor the entire conference fee for the CHCO and/or Deputy. Agency costs will be limited to transportation and incidentals (per diem).

The Fall Forum is a unique opportunity for the Chief Human Capital Officers to collaborate, reflect on the council's accomplishments and plan the path forward, by sharing best practices and building strategies for current and future challenges. This forum will also mark the inaugural CHCO Council Leadership Awards, which will honor the CHCO and Deputy CHCO who, over the past year, have best exemplified the mission of the Council by supporting its goals and displaying leadership in all aspects of federal human resources.

Today’s federal Human Resources challenges require each and every member of this Council to work together on such issues as Hiring Reform, Diversity, HR Succession planning and Labor Relations. It will take our collective efforts to achieve success and meet our federal wide Human Capital objectives. Therefore, I strongly encourage each of you to make the commitment to attend this retreat. Thank you and we look forward to having you.
