The Society of American Indian Government Employees (SAIGE) will hold its 8th Annual National Training Conference from June 13-17, 2011 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The theme of this conference is “Service, Honor, Respect: Strengthening Our Cultures and Communities,” and the agenda is focused on promoting the professional development, cultural awareness, and continuing education of all Government employees.
The SAIGE Training Conference qualifies as training in compliance with 5 U.S.C. Chapter 41. This event is open to all Federal employees and will feature training and workshops in areas such as Professional Development, Culture and Diversity, and Health and Wellness. The conference also includes a Youth Track, which is geared towards college students, and a Veterans’ Track for returning veterans.

Agencies should note that attendance at this conference is not subject to "Rule of 50" provisions included in certain previous agency appropriations acts which limit payment for the attendance of more than 50 employees at any single conference occurring outside the United States.
