American GI Forum of the United States National Conference

The American GI Forum of the United States will hold its 63rd Annual National Conference from July 13-17, 2011 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The theme of this conference is “Honoring our Hispanic Heroes, Educating Hispanics for our Future,” and the agenda is focused on advancing efforts in employment opportunities and business enterprise for disabled veterans, especially underrepresented Hispanic and Native American veterans.

The American GI Forum Conference qualifies as training in compliance with 5 U.S.C. Chapter 41. This event is open to all Federal employees and will feature training and workshops in areas such as Direct Veteran Hiring, Veteran Benefits, and Veterans Business Enterprise.

Federal employees and managers are encouraged to review additional conference and training information when deciding to participate, such as course descriptions, costs, and schedules, at the following website: www.AGIFUSA.org.  

Agencies are reminded that reporting of training is governed by 5 CFR 410.601.
