2011 Veterans Employment Symposium

The U.S. Office of Personnel Management and the Departments of Defense, Labor, Veterans Affairs, and Homeland Security are proud to co-sponsor the 2011 Veterans Employment Symposium in support of President Obama's Veterans Employment Initiative.  The symposium will be held on July 27 and 28, with a pre-symposium workshop on July 26.  It will be held at the Renaissance Washington, DC Downtown Hotel at 999 Ninth Street NW, Washington, DC.  This event will showcase practical ways to access the rich talent pool of military veterans to fill open positions in your organization with trained and experienced personnel.

The 2011 Veterans Employment Symposium qualifies as training in compliance with 5 U.S.C. chapter 41.  This event is open only to Federal employees and will feature training and presentations, workshops, and special guest speakers from Federal agencies and private sector organizations.

Agencies are reminded that reporting of training is governed by 5 CFR 410.601.
