USAccess features

Lower prices and reduced capital expenditures

Stable, competitive pricing helps your agency manage annual budget requests while minimizing capital expenditures. Using a shared services model, the USAccess program has adopted a simplified, per-credential pricing model that eliminates large upfront costs.

Enhanced security and built-in HSPD-12 policy compliance

USAccess offers interoperable, high-trust PIV credentials for access to information resources across both logical and physical domains. Each credential is registered and verified according to the requirements outlined by applicable NIST policies.

Easier to use and deploy

Agencies get easy access to a shared enrollment and activation infrastructure, including the portal Light Activation Service or Light Credentialing Solution. All options include a portal to view and manage your applicants' status throughout the credentialing life cycle.

GSA manages tasks such as certification and accreditation (C&A), privacy assessments, and configuration management on your behalf. We also offer on-boarding support to address technical and operational support needs.

Aligned with the Federal IT Shared Services Strategy

In December 2011, the Federal Chief Information Officer issued a draft discussion paper about the Federal IT Shared Services Strategy [PDF, 774KB]. As a shared service for 95 agencies, the USAccess program offers the opportunity to be one of those leaner, more efficient, and more agile organizations.
