Second Generation FSSI Office Supply BPAs

The General Services Administration, through the Federal Strategic Sourcing Initiative (FSSI), awarded fifteen Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPA) for office supplies. The awards are the result of a collaborative team effort among customer agencies across the federal government. Under the BPA’s, discounts increase as the collective purchases grow across the federal government. Through this pricing structure, the vehicle truly leverages the government’s buying power. 

Thirteen of these BPAs were awarded to small business entities in which many have participating dealer agreements with over 120 small businesses. This provides a great opportunity to achieve significant savings and meet department-wide socioeconomic goals. In this critical time of reduced budgets, this cross-agency strategic sourcing initiative helps the government to leverage data, dollars and good business sense in meeting acquisition goals. Additional benefits include:

• Capturing economies of scale;
• Ensuring compliance with applicable regulations to include the AbilityOne Program, sustainable purchasing requirements and the Trade Agreement Act;
• Fostering markets for sustainable technologies and environmentally preferable products;
• Simplifying data collection and enhancing transparency by enabling agencies to better manage expenditures and measure cost-savings;
• Aligning purchasing with existing agency procurement practices;
• Enabling achievement of socioeconomics goals;
• Provide ease of ordering; and
• Point of Sale compliance ensures that purchase card users automatically receive government price.

• S/D - Small Business/Disadvantaged
• SDVOSB - Service Disabled/Veteran Owned/Small Business
• S/D/W - Small Business/Disadvantaged/Women-Owned
• L - Large Business

POOL TWO - comprised of three companies that provide full office supply catalogs, next day delivery, secure desktop delivery, fill/kill and international shipping.
