Green and Sustainability for Law Enforcement
GSA's Schedule 84 offers "green" solutions
In an effort to help agencies meet the requirements of Executive Order (EO) 13514, Schedule 84 - Law Enforcement has initiated steps to increase its "green" offerings. Schedule 84 covers Law Enforcement, Security, Facilities Management, Fire, Rescue, Clothing, Marine Craft and Emergency/Disaster Response.
EO 13514 requires agencies to ensure that 95 percent of new contract actions are for "green" products and/or services where such products and services meet agency performance requirements.
We are pleased to announce the first product category for which a "green" qualification has been established. It has been determined that firearm lubricants meeting the bio-preferred standard, without loss of performance are readily available in the marketplace. Therefore, effective immediately, only firearm lubricants that meet the bio-preferred program requirements will be accepted for award on Schedule 84.
