How do I apply for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits?
To apply for SSI benefits, you can:

- Complete the Adult Disability Report or the Child Disability Report online, and schedule an appointment to complete the SSI application; or
- Schedule an appointment with your local office to complete the application process.
Before you begin the application process, either online or in a local office, refer to the following information:
Note: Only the Disability Reports can be completed online. You must complete the application process at your local office.
To schedule an appointment with your local office, call 1-800-772-1213 (TTY 1-800-325-0778) between 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday.
