On Monday, August 31, 2009, at 2:30 p.m. EDT, the NIGMS will hold an interactive pre-application videocast briefing for the three Requests for Applications (RFAs) that will establish the PSI:Biology network:

RFA-GM-10-005  Centers for Membrane Protein Structure Determination (U54)
RFA-GM-10-006  Centers for High-Throughput Structure Determination (U54)
RFA-GM-10-007  Consortia for High-Throughput-Enabled Structural Biology Partnerships (U01)

Drs. Jeremy Berg (Director, NIGMS), Cathy Lewis (Director, Cell Biology and Biophysics Division), and Peter Preusch (Acting Director of the NIGMS Protein Structure Initiative) will present an overview of the PSI:Biology initiative and will answer questions from potential applicants.

The PSI:Biology VideoCast Briefing will be posted in the upcoming events section at  http://videocast.nih.gov and will be archived in the Past Events section. RealPlayer software is required. Free RealPlayer software is at: http://www.real.com.  Please test world accessible video in advance at: http://videocast.nih.gov/browsertest.  Remote viewers can send comments during the live VideoCast by using the Live Event Feedback Form which is located on the videocast page immediately below the event listing.  For technical support, please contact the NIH Helpdesk: local (301) 496-4357; toll free (866) 319-4357.  Email questions may also be sent in advance to preuschp@mail.nih.gov.  Viewing this videocast briefing, although encouraged, is optional and not required for application submission.
