Clarification on the Use of Tables in Applications for the Institutional Research and Academic Career Development Awards (IRACDA) (K12)

The purpose of this Notice is to provide clarification on the use of tables in new and renewal applications in reference to Funding Opportunity Announcement PAR-11-255, published in the NIH Guide on July 15, 2011. The use of NRSA tables (such as 6B, 11, and 12B) is OUTSIDE of the 25 page limit. Specifically, the NRSA tables are a separate attachment, and the applicant is advised to consult the applicable SF 424 guidelines (see Section 8.7, item # 13) on attachment of "Data Tables."  Non-NRSA tables developed by the applicant should be included in the Program Plan and are subject to the 25 page limit as stated under Section IV.2 of the funding announcement. Inclusion of these tables in the Appendix or use of NRSA tables for other than their intended purpose is not allowed.
